Welcome to Maidstone Nepalese Community

Maidstone Nepalese Community has been tirelessly working to strengthen community awareness & socio-cultural cohesion since it was first established in 2006. Dated back 1994, when The Queen's Gurkha Engineers moved into Invicta Barracks Maidstone, Nepalese faces living in borough has commenced. With the immense support of British public as well as Parliament and by the grace of Her Majesty's Government, Gurkhas and their families been granted the right to live in the UK even after their retirement from active service.

As increasing numbers of Nepalese families are settling in the town as newcomers, MNC has been playing an increasingly vital role in building social awareness amongst its members. At the same time, MNC has been playing its part in the wider community, liaising with other local community groups and authorities, to raise awareness of Nepalese culture and traditional values, promote respect for other cultures, encourage integration while preserving cultural norms, values and Nepalese identity as a whole. In this way MNC is firmly rooted in the community, acting as a foundation stone for multi-culturalism
